FlickerMill Candles was born from hope, resilience, and a deep belief in embracing and enjoying life’s journey while alchemizing heartache into hope.

Founded by Olivia, a retired professional dancer turned yoga teacher and resilience trainer, and Eric, a retired firefighter, FlickerMill began as a light in the dark during one of their hardest chapters. The couple met through Olivia’s nonprofit organization, Yoga For First Responders® created in 2013 to help first responders and military members process stress and build resilience. Their shared mission became the foundation of their relationship—and continues to guide their life together.

While they remain committed to serving first responders, Olivia and Eric have also been on a personal journey to grow their family. After years of fertility treatments—including five egg retrievals, multiple surgeries, 4 embryo transfers, and two miscarriages—they know firsthand the emotional, physical, and financial toll of trying to conceive.

FlickerMill was born as a way to cope with that pain. Creating candles became a grounding ritual—blending creativity, patience, and purpose. It offered not just healing, but a way to give back. Each candle is lovingly hand-poured and thoughtfully named, with the hope that it brings warmth, comfort, and a flicker of light to others walking through difficult seasons.

Every purchase helps fund their continued journey through fertility treatments—and every candle is a reminder that even in the darkest moments, there is still hope.

In 2022, their daughter was born from their 4th IVF cycle, and their journey continues.
